Reservations, Seating, and Physical Distancing


Our Employees

All employees will be screened for illness upon arrival to work each day, including a fever screening with a temporal thermometer. Our employees sign off on a Health Reporting agreement, which requires them to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms before coming to work, and to stay home if they have COVID-19 symptoms or if they’ve had contact with a person with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19.

Employees are always required to wear masks while working.

Employees wear gloves while working in the kitchen and when touching ready to eat food, but will not wear gloves while providing table service. This protocol is based on the recommendation from Public Health Madison & Dane County. Employees will wash their hands regularly, for 20 seconds or longer, which is more effective and efficient than having to change gloves repeatedly.

Work shifts are staggered for employees and we limit the number of workers present to no more than is necessary to operate our restaurant safely.

Employees are trained and sign off on our new physical distancing, hygiene, cleaning, and illness screening policies, and retrained on proper handwashing and sanitation procedures.


Facility Cleaning & Disinfection

We have a designated employee scheduled during business hours to clean and disinfect customer and employee spaces. This person will be constantly cleaning high touch surfaces throughout the day, including tables, chairs, all restroom doors and surfaces, door knobs, handles, keypads, registers, touch screens, credit card readers, and pens.

Our restaurant has established a cleaning schedule and increased the frequency of facility cleaning and disinfection.

We have a plan in place for cleaning and disinfecting in the event of a positive COVID-19 case in our restaurant and will follow all guidance/requirements by Public Health Madison & Dane County and CDC.

There will be hand sanitizer available for customers and at all employee work stations.

We are using chemicals on the EPA list (N) of antimicrobial agents that meet their criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2. We use broad-spectrum Quaternary-based hospital grade disinfectant cleaner to clean all seating, tables, dining room, and restroom surfaces. We use Steramine Quaternary Ammonium in our kitchen, and on and around food contact surfaces.


Our Customers

Do not dine with us if you are currently experiencing a fever, cough, or shortness of breath, or if you have been in contact with a person who is COVID-19 positive. Please use proper sneeze and cough etiquette.

We require that you wear a mask upon entering our restaurant and anytime you are not sitting at a dining table.

We ask that you do not wear gloves into our restaurant. Read more about the risks associated with glove use in public places here. Hand sanitizer and kleenex is available for customers in our dining room. Our restrooms will be fully stocked with hand washing supplies.

We will ask you to view our menus online, on your phone, instead of our usual menu books or laminated menus. If you would prefer a paper menu, ask your server, and it will be discarded after one use.
